Tune in to VIA TV tonight to hear the Ami entrepreneur story!
Tune in to VIA TV (channel 147) tonight at 6.30pm when Ami CEO and co-founder Christelle Colman and executive head of operations Zaida Mia will be interviewed by actor/entrepreneur Armand Aucamp on “Klein Sake Groot Drome”. The show is produced by Armand and his fiancé Sean van Noordwyk under the Aucamp Productions banner.
The CN&CO relationships extend far into this interview. Carel and Kurt are both heavily involved in Ami – Carel as co-founder and non-executive chairman, and Kurt as executive head: brokers and brand.
“Christelle and I are long-time friends and now business partners,” says Carel. “We are both passionate about entrepreneurship. CN&CO – 10 years later! – is one example of this.”
Christelle recently formed part of the judging panel of the 2023 Koos Bekker Entrepreneurship competition. The yearly competition, organised by Eendrag Men’s residence at Stellenbosch University, is well-known for its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship among its residents. It provides significant funding to support promising young businesses.
Christelle also presented a fabulous webinar, The Colman Webinar, on entrepreneurship with her husband, Simon.
CN&CO Publishing and CN&CO Productions met the fabulous VIA team when we published “There’s a Vegan on My Verandah” and participated in the “Mooi Frankryk” series.
“We also have ties with Armand, whose ‘Armand Kook Kaal’ cookbook and TV show proved hugely popular among English and Afrikaans audiences,” says Carel. “We also got him in to MC when we did the event management for the FIA Broker Awards.”
Armand’s fiancé/business partner, Sean, is mates with CN&CO’s Rikus Kok. Sean starred as Reitz in “Getroud met Rugby” and was also crowned Mr World in 2021. Another “Getroud met Rugby” star, Anlia Etzebeth, is also friends with Rikus, and recently married Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth.
“There are links everywhere,” says Carel. “You just have to know where to look for them!”
