A night in London – The IIG Presidential Inaugural Dinner
The Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) recently hosted its prestigious Presidential Inaugural Dinner. The venue, Galleria Events and Conference Centre, was transformed into a captivating homage to the timeless elegance of London. The theme was chosen to reflect the upcoming IIG International trip to London, promising a night of grandeur and allure.
CN&CO Events was the proud organiser of the dinner, bringing a sense of opulence and refinement to the evening through gorgeous décor and flawless attention to detail.
The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the people. Bukhosi Khumalo, inaugurated as the IIG President for 2024, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the warmth and camaraderie shared among guests. From family members to esteemed colleagues, the presence of each individual added a layer of significance to the event. As Bukhosi said, “It is the people that make the experience special.”
Reflecting on the theme, decor, and overall execution, Bukhosi was effusive in his praise. The London-inspired ambiance, curated by CN&CO Events, captivated guests and transported them to the bustling streets of the British capital.
As the newly appointed IIG President, Bukhosi says he is excited for the year ahead. The theme for his tenure is “LinkUp”, which he says “… embodies the spirit of connectivity and synergy within the insurance industry. It’s about forging meaningful connections, both locally and globally, and leveraging the collective potential for positive change, linking people up to other people, idea, and opportunities.”
“It’s always a pleasure to work with clients like the IIG, who give us the latitude we need to bring their vision to life,” says Llewellyn de Plessis, head of CN&CO Events. “Bringing the city of London to life in the middle of Johannesburg was a memorable process!”
