African Insurance Exchange 2024: Positive feedback from sponsors and exhibitors
Participating in industry events is critical for businesses seeking to stay at the forefront of innovation and networking. The AIE 2024 conference highlighted this, with various companies participating as speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. Feedback from those who attended the conference has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the event’s success and the value it brought to all involved.
Tarina Vlok, managing director at Elite Wealth Assets Insurance, says her company’s sponsorship was hugely beneficial.
“In 2024, as well as 2023, we sponsored the pamper pod at the AIE, where conference attendees could receive a relaxing hand massage,” she says. “The area was beautifully arranged in line with the Elite brand and received many compliments for its appearance. CN&CO did an amazing job, as always, of capturing our brand and elevating the experience.”
She says the conference plays an important role in the insurance industry.
“The industry faces many risks and must respond to an evolving landscape. AIE gives us the opportunity to engage with our peers on important matters relating to our industry. It is also a place where I hope to gain insights that go beyond what can be found with a simple Google search.
“Moreover, it provides an amazing platform for networking, something that is of utmost importance in our industry.
“I do believe the 2024 conference met my expectations, although I would have liked to see more regulator and academic involvement, particularly concerning climate change.”
Tarina says she enjoyed the conference tremendously.
“The 2024 conference was an amazing success. I particularly appreciated that the functions were held in different venues, which added variety to the experience. Besides the engaging talks and panel discussions, the farewell function on the beach was a highlight for me. Elite will definitely be back in 2025 as a sponsor!”
Platinum sponsor Sasria has been a supporter of the conference for over 10 years. This year the company was responsible for bringing us the live streaming platform. Sasria’s executive manager: stakeholder management division, Muzi Dladla, believes the sponsorship was a success.
“Our involvement in the conference is important as we always aim to contribute towards expanding industry knowledge,” he says. “The AIE 2024 conference exceeded our expectations, providing an opportunity for industry peers to connect and gain insights about industry developments.
A major highlight for Sasria was the keynote address by Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka on transformational leadership.
However, Muzi says the discussions throughout the conference were inspiring and empowering… “showcasing how as an industry we can achieve great results through collaboration.”
Milpark Education was one of the conference exhibitors. Marisa Grundling, head of department: risk and insurance, says being involved in the conference offers an incredible opportunity to network with industry professionals and stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in the insurance sector.
“The 2024 conference has been a valuable experience, meeting my expectations in terms of insightful presentations, engaging discussions and meaningful connections.”
Marisa says she found the conference to be exceptionally well-organised and informative.
“A highlight for me, as always, was the academic prizes awarded to our students who work incredibly hard.
“We will be back as an exhibitor in 2025 for sure!”
Susan van Zyl, head of marketing and sales at JMR Software, says JMR has been an exhibitor at the conference for eight years.
“Our continued participation reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of insurance industry innovation and fostering strong relationships within the sector,” she says. “Each year, the conference offers fresh insights and new opportunities, reinforcing why we continue to return and engage with this vibrant community.”
Susan says JMR Software’s involvement in the AIE stems from a commitment to driving innovation and building relationships within the insurance industry.
“As an exhibitor, we seized the opportunity to showcase our cutting-edge solutions designed to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and meet the evolving needs of the sector,” she says. “The conference provides a perfect platform for us to engage with industry leaders, share insights, and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies.
“The 2024 Insurance Conference was an enriching experience for JMR Software. It offered an excellent platform to connect with industry professionals and explore the latest developments in the insurance sector.
“A particular highlight for us was the level of engagement at our exhibition booth, where we interacted directly with decision-makers and professionals who were genuinely interested in the solutions we offer. Additionally, the social events were a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with acquaintances and peers from previous conferences, strengthening our professional network.”
Susan says JMR Software will be back at AIE in 2025.
“The 2024 conference was a valuable experience, offering significant opportunities for networking and showcasing our solutions. Given the positive impact on our business and the strong connections we made, we’re excited to continue our participation and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of insurance. We definitely plan to return as an exhibitor in 2025. “
The positive feedback from sponsors and exhibitors alike highlights the success of AIE 2024. It demonstrates the conference’s role in facilitating industry connections, driving innovation and providing invaluable insights. With such positive experiences, it’s no surprise that many of this year’s participants are already looking forward to returning in 2025.
