Purple firmly in the black

Congratulations to Purple Group, EasyEquities‘ parent company, on its spectacular 2024 annual results!

“As we celebrate our 10th year, 2024 stands out as a pivotal moment – a year of incredible growth and transformation, made possible by our investors’ support and belief in us,” says the group’s chief marketing officer, Carel Nolte.

There’s so much to celebrate in this year’s annual results. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Purple Group revenue surged by 45,1% to R400 million.
  • EasyGroup revenue increased by 51,5% to R360 million.
  • Operating expenses? Up by just 7,6% – a testament to our disciplined approach to growth.
  • Investor community growth: Registrations climbed by 11% to 2,29 million, and active investors increased by over 10% to 991 320.

“Our investors are at the heart of everything we do, and we love to see that more of them are diversifying their portfolios, exploring new ways to grow and protect their wealth, and gaining confidence as investors,” adds Carel.

Carel notes that more investors have started investing in property and Crypto assets.

“More investors are stepping into property investment (EasyProperties active clients grew by 17,8% to 122 462), while Crypto is catching fire! EasyCrypto client assets increased by 93% to R0,87 billion.”

“And we’re not stopping there!” says Carel. “We’re constantly evolving to meet our clients’ needs, with new products and services designed to help build wealth according to each investor’s individual style.”

Learning and growing together

“Education is key to investing success, and we’re committed to helping South Africans grow their knowledge and their wealth. Whether it’s research and insights on our blog, bite-sized tips on our socials, or Thrive activities that shape great investing habits, we’ve got your back.”

Carel points out that this year alone, education driven by Thrive activities grew by an incredible 496%.
