From Bokmakierie to the big leagues

In the heart of Bokmakierie, a spirited 13-year-old named Uzair Bantam has been chasing dreams far bigger than his small Cape Flats neighbourhood.

With a pair of goalkeeper gloves, raw talent, and a heart full of determination, Uzair began his journey with Hazendal FC, guided by Coach Seth Erasmus and his dedicated school coach.

But talent alone isn’t always enough — opportunity is what turns potential into greatness. And that’s where AD Legacy (Adam Davids Legacy) stepped in.

Founded just four years ago, AD Legacy has become a beacon of hope for youth in underserved communities.

Their mission is bold yet simple: to change lives through football. They do far more than just find talent — they nurture it, invest in it, and stand by it, every step of the way.

For Uzair, AD Legacy has been life-changing. They’ve provided the gear, transport, and support needed for him to thrive — not just as a player, but as a young man with dreams. They’ve backed him with the kind of care that sees the full person, not just the athlete.

And the results? Nothing short of extraordinary.

Thanks to his perseverance and the backing of AD Legacy, Uzair was invited to trial at the prestigious Real Madrid Foundation Academy — a dream for any aspiring footballer. He not only impressed — he soared, earning a full scholarship and accommodation at Generation School, where he’ll receive a world-class education alongside elite football training.

At just 13, Uzair is now preparing to study Art, Music and Spanish, expanding his mind while refining his talent — a true student of the world.

This is more than a success story. It’s a testament to what happens when community, commitment, and care come together.

AD Legacy isn’t just building footballers — they’re building futures.

They remain side-by-side with Uzair and his family, ensuring he’s supported on and off the field. Because when one child rises, the whole community is lifted.

If you’re looking for a reason to believe in the power of purpose — Uzair Bantam is it
