The Insurance Apprentice 2017 filming week
The Insurance Apprentice, a TV series produced by FANews that made its debut in 2015, has once again shown that the insurance industry is anything but dull and boring. The industry is, in fact, innovative and dynamic, and a career in insurance can be rewarding and exciting.
This “reality type” series is a battle of young industry players who go face to face with each other to showcase their talent and skills in short-term insurance. They get involved in a series of insurance-related tasks and face elimination in each round until only one contestant remains.
CN&CO has once again jumped at the opportunity to be one of the sponsors of this great initiative that promotes the insurance industry to young and talented individuals.
The filming of the 2017 series commenced on 8 to 13 January 2017 at the FNB Conference Centre, where eight finalists (FANews Insurance Apprentice 2017: Meet the top 8 apprentices) were challenged to see who was the best in the industry.
These individuals were very competitive and brought their A-game to every task that was given to them. The judges, Simon Colman, head of commercial solutions for SHA, and Vuyo Lee, Group Executive; Brand and Corporate Affairs at MMI Holdings, had a difficult time deciding who to eliminate, as all contenders showed drive and passion. They didn’t, however, make it easy! The Contenders faced intense grilling and harsh judgement from the panel.
Season 3 of The Insurance Apprentice will be released in weekly instalments on YouTube, starting at the end of February. The winner will walk away with an exciting prize of a trip to Lloyds of London, a bursary – courtesy of Inseta – as well as an opportunity to attend The Insurance Conference in Sun City.
