Travel tips: a golf holiday on Bintan Island
A few of the gents on the team are golfers and when we went to the picturesque Club Med Bintan Island village, a few of them took the opportunity to play one of the world’s best golf courses: Ria Bintan golf course. I haven’t learnt to golf yet but from working with Club Med, Gianluca, and Kurt I am learning quite a bit about the sport. What I know for sure is that those who do golf really love courses that cater to a range of abilities.
Gianluca wrote this blog on his experience. I like that he shares his thoughts and experiences of each hole and what he loved about the course. Also, his photos are just incredible. Fuh reals!
Just look at this one:

Family holidays
This time of year, more than any other time, is often when many South Africans really get to spend time with our families. We go to our family homes, our families come to us, and we go on holidays. Why not consider having a great family reunion in Mauritius?
The island is a short four hours away and Club Med has recently refurbished its La Pointe aux Canonniers village to better suit families. They’ve even renovated a pool with features such as slip and slide areas, water jets, water guns, and more to ensure you and the children in the family can have the time of their lives splashing away and reconnecting. For adults, there’s an adults-only zen area complete with beach bar and infinity pool. Family-focused? Yebo!
If you’re an avid golfer, there is plenty of opportunity for you to golf in Mauritius while the rest of the family golfs with you or enjoys the island.
A number of celebrities have recently visited Club Med resorts in Mauritius including celebrity chef Siba Mtongana and former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss.
