Celebrating a few of the fabulous women in our lives
Women are wonderful human beings. We honestly believe the world would be a better place if more women were in charge.
We are truly honoured to have loads of fabulous women in our networks, who make our lives richer and more diverse every day. These are just a handful of the women we love and adore:
Anna Starcke – super-smart, eccentric lover of people and the arts, who recently (in her 80s!) got a tattoo!
Carly Barnes – EasyEquities Capitec champion, CN&CO deputy chairperson, film fundi, wine lover and friend to many of us… listen to this episode of Podcasts of the People by Kurt and Josh, featuring Carly. Listen to it here.
Carolynne Waterhouse – creative counsel at RMB, strident supporter of the creative economy, wife to Wimpie, mum to Katy, friend to many of us… currently furiously busy with the RMB Turbine Art Fair.
Josie Dougall – CN&CO director and shareholder, wife and mother, writer of amazing blogs, including:
- Ted Talk #164: Every kid needs a champion
- The importance of actively creating culture and tradition in our families
- I wish someone had told me to open my eyes.
- I wish someone had told me the real challenge of a work-from-home parent
Lisa Henry – founder and director of the Jozi Film Festival, mum, whisky lover, friend, all-round fabulous human… the Jozi Film Festival is just around the corner; read all about it here.
Ntombi Langa-Royds – wife, mum, businesswoman, mentor, guru, friend who recently spoke to Josh in our CN&CO Talks feature.
Penny Hickinbotham – CN&CO admin goddess, supreme bridge player and cook, without whom our lives would be total chaos.
To all the women in our lives – our mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters, housekeepers, daughters, grandmothers, friends and colleagues – thank you for all you do for us. Whether you realise it or not, we depend on you for so much.
