Lucerne World Cup 3 Team Announcement:

World Rowing World Cup 3 – Lucerne, Switzerland – Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July 2022

The RMB National Squad will be taking part in the 3rd and final World Cup of the 2022 series. This will be their final race before the Senior World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic in September 2022.

The announcement comes a few days after a high performance training camp in Tzaneen, where athletes are isolated in a rowing bubble with zero distractions.

Kirsten Macdonald returns to the lightweight women’s single scull, an event she won in 2017.

Henry Torr makes his senior team debut with U23 World Champion James Mitchell in the Men’s Pair. The Tokyo Olympic duo of Jake Green and Luc Daffarn are reunited in the 2nd Men’s Pair entry, albeit in a different seating in the boat.

Thabelo Masutha is no stranger to the single scull and this will be a great opportunity for him to make a mark at the senior level of competition.

Coaches Tiago Loureiro and Andrew Grant will accompany the team to Switzerland.

We wish the RMB National Squad well as they test their speed and continue their preparations towards the Senior World Championships in September.
