RMB National Squad set to compete at the 2023 Rowing World Cup

The RMB National Rowing Squad, proudly representing South Africa, is gearing up to showcase its exceptional talent and determination at the highly anticipated Third Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland. The event, set to take place on the renowned “Lake of Gods, Lucerne,” will see elite rowers from across the globe competing fiercely for glory from 7 to 9 July 2023.

The RMB National Rowing Squad boasts an impressive lineup of skilled athletes who will be competing in various categories. Paige Badenhorst and Katherine Williams will join forces in the Women’s Double Scull, while James Mitchell and Christopher Baxter will form a formidable duo in the Men’s Pair. The Lightweight Men’s Single Scull will see the exceptional Murray Bales-Smith demonstrate his mastery, and making his South African senior rowing debut, Adriaan Venter will take on the Men’s Single Scull.

Under the expert guidance of Head Coach Tiago Loureiro, who will be accompanied by Andrew Grant and Grant Dodds, the RMB National Rowing Squad is primed to showcase their speed, endurance, and tenacity on the world stage. Coach Loureiro expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming competition, stating, “Racing on the ‘Lake of Gods, Lucerne,’ against the best in the world is an opportunity and a privilege. We are looking forward to testing our speed.”
