Win a trip for four to the 2016 Ryder Cup

The St Stithians Alumni society, the Old Stithians Association (OSA), has launched its own society lottery to raise funds for old boys and girls activities and charitable donations. The first prize up for grabs in the lottery is an all-expenses-paid trip for four people to the 2016 Ryder Cup in the USA.

“OSA was launched in the late 1950s to ensure alumni kept in touch through sport and social activities and to raise funds for a host of causes – including developments at the school, bursaries, financial support for old boys and girls in need, and charitable causes,” says OSA chair Shaun Edmeston. ‘The establishment of the lottery means we can raffle large-value prizes to our members and to the public, allowing us to raise the funds we need to keep our alumni activities going.”

CN&CO’s Carel Nolte, a Saints alumnus and chair of the school council, says the Ryder Cup lottery is a fantastic initiative, and well worth the R500-per-ticket investment.

“As a golfer and an ardent traveller, the idea of being able to attend the Ryder Cup is really attractive to me,” he says. “And because ticket sales are limited, it means everyone who enters has a real chance of winning!”

Ticket sales are open, and the draw will take place on 1 July 2016.
