Customer education is a big focus for Bearings 2000

Training and development is a key focus for our partners at Bearings 2000. So much so that since April 2019 they have introduced a state-of-the-art training facility at their head office in Germiston. The facility was introduced to educate and upskill their customers and team.

This reinforces their pledge to ‘simplify the supply of industrial products’.

Bearing’s 2000 has been operating since 1992 providing comprehensive range of bearings, power transmission products, seals and allied industrial products. The company, however, is about far more than the products they supply. The team has always put relationships at the centre of everything do. 

The more our customers know more about the product they are buying, the more inclined they will be to order the correct product the first time.

Michael Stamatiadis (sales director) says, “This results in faster turnaround times and reduced downtime. In addition, the correct handling, mounting and maintenance of bearings will result in longer and more consistent life spans, as well as improved stock and spares planning.”

The courses offered by Bearings are:

Basic rolling bearing knowledge

This course is offered to all buyers and users of bearings. It covers the different bearing types, sizes, applications and handling instructions. 

It is ideal for buyers and plant managers to gain a basic understanding of bearings.

Bearings mounting and dismounting

The incorrect mounting of bearings is one of the biggest causes of premature failure of bearings. This often results in unscheduled downtime, cost of replacement and compromised safety standards. 

This course is aimed at bearing fitters and includes theoretical and practical training.

Introduction to lubrication

This course is vital in ensuring that the correct grease is used in optimum volumes at the correct intervals. With numerous greases and grease applicators on the market, Bearings 2000 offers courses to ensure optimal greasing for general and specific applications.

Basic power transmission product knowledge

This course is offered to all buyers and users of power transmission products in order to gain a basic understanding of the following products:

• V-belts and v-pulley drives
• Chain and sprocket drives
• Coupling drives and locking devices

The course is ideal for buyers and plant managers to gain a basic understanding of power transmission products.

Tailor-made application engineering courses
