Podcasts: where are we going?
When we start thinking about the future, do we pay enough attention to where we are going or do we largely make reactive decisions instead of being proactive?
Being proactive rather than reactive doesn’t mean owning a crystal ball. It just requires a different approach in the way you frame or think about things. As a global population we are increasingly connected and data is making us more aware of this than ever before. The world really is very small.
Sustainability is a “buzz” word that is used in multiple contexts. At times it is misunderstood and over complicated. Waste management and data are two worlds that are vital to future. We need to shift our approach and think differently, because the the road we are on is not sustainable. Building a sustainable system will develop over time, we don’t have all the answers right now, but we need to start being more conscious of where we are going.
An IBM Marketing Cloud Study in 2017 highlighted how “90% of the data on the internet has been created since 2016”
As we navigate the future, let’s challenge ourselves to be more proactive – make decisions that take into consideration the broader context. The world is all connected and while you may think your behaviour in your home town has no bearing on people on the other side of the world… the truth is that it does and we all need to be aware of this.
