IISA Insurance Director Programme: second cohort applications open

The Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) is inviting applications from executives in the financial services sector to the second cohort of the Insurance Director Programme, commencing in April 2020.

IISA has, since 2019, partnered with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) to host an Insurance Director Programme to be delivered by the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA).

The programme is aimed at developing directorship skills for insurance practitioners who are at the executive management level, this will create a pool of skilled directors within the industry and contribute towards mitigating the risk of skills shortage at this level.

Overview

Below is an overview of the modules that will form part of the programme.

CPD hours

25 CPD Hours (FAIS CPD and Professional Member CPD).

Criteria

Candidates must have 5 to 10 years of work experience in the financial services sector, with at least 3 to 5 years of Executive Management experience.

  • Detailed profile with work history
  • 1-page motivation to be admitted to the program
  • Copy of certified Identity Document

Closing date for applications is Tuesday, 31 March 2020. No late applications will be accepted.

The programme will commence in April 2020.

Cost

  • Members: R18 850.00 (VAT Excl.)
  • Non-Members: R22 500.00 (VAT Excl.)

The value of the programme is R37 700,00. Due to sponsorship from INSETA, the IISA is able to deliver the programme at a discounted rate.
