I Wish Someone Had Told Me –  How delicious the ribs are at “The Diner”

Dear  fellow rib enthusiasts and food lovers!

Today, I want to share with you an incredible experience (vegans, you may want to stop reading) that had me wishing someone had let me in on this little secret much sooner. Join me as I share my mouth-watering experience at The Diner, nestled in the heart of West Rand, Johannesburg. 244 Voortrekker Rd, Monument, Krugersdorp, to be exact. Trust me, this rib spot is one for the connoisseurs! Oh and thanks to my mate Anton for sharing this beaut of a spot with me.

Rib Crazy and hard to impress

Let me start by saying that I am a self-proclaimed rib fanatic. Ribs hold a special place in my heart, and it takes something truly extraordinary to impress my refined taste buds. Jokes aside,  The Diner managed to do just that! From the moment I sank my teeth into their ribs, I knew I had discovered something truly special.

Don’t just take my word for it – The Diner’s ribs have made quite a name for themselves. They even earned a spot on Radio station, 947’s “Joburg’s Best Ribs” list, and although they didn’t grab the top spot, they certainly left their mark. Oh and disclaimer, I discovered this gem before they featured on the show. Oh and if you after a deal, they have rib specials on Monday’s and Thursdays.

Delicious Ribs and Ice-Cold Beers

Each bite tasted like more, tender, succulent meat that practically falls off the bone. The flavours were perfectly balanced, with an incredible blend of smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet notes that danced with my taste buds. And what better way to wash down those delicious ribs than with an ice-cold draft beer? The combination was nca!

As I reminisce about my experience at The Diner with good mates, I can’t help but wonder why no one had let me in on this gem earlier.

You step into The Diner and you’ll instantly feel the warm, friendly vibe that sets the stage for a fantastic meal. The retro ambiance adds a fun and nostalgic touch, making it the perfect spot to gather with friends and family. And yes, of course they have a diverse menu of other delicious meals too.

So, bring your appetite and prepare yourself for a face full of marinade and a plate of lip-smacking ribs. Cheers to a lekker spot.
