The Ink Link: Fitness Boxing champion

The Ink Link is an ongoing project at CN&CO that showcases the diversity of tattoos. One of the great things about a tattoo is that it goes against the commonly-held viewpoint that “what you see is what you get”. There’s a misguided belief in certain quarters that only “some” people get a tattoo. We are putting paid to that perception through the stories showcased in the Ink Link. I am bad at many things, but one of the things I am really good at, is the people I choose to surround myself with. And I am lucky also, with life giving me loads of opportunities to meet interesting people who contribute positively to my life. One such person is Aidan Deyzel.

I met Aidan at cRESULTS Digital Fitness Boxing, a superb business started by my mates Alan and Laura Harris.

CResults is a 45min workout incorporating boxing, weights, functional training and HIIT. It’s been designed for all ages, shapes and fitness levels and is often the highlight of my week. Not only do you get a great workout for body and mind, the other people attending are fun and inspirational. And then you have the trainers – affectionately known by some as the cRESULTS boys – Aidan and Jaden.

Both these young men are passionate boxing enthusiasts and combine Alan’s positive outlook on life, high energy and client-centric approach with their own personalities and vibe. Throw in some lekker tunes and I guarantee you will love every second of the 45 minutes!

I asked Aidan a little more about his tattoos:

When did you get your first tattoo?

“My journey into the world of tattoos began in 2021, marking a significant chapter in my life’s canvas.” More on what that signifcant change was when you meet Aidan at the gym …

How many tattoos do you have?

“As of now, I have three distinct pieces of art, all on my left leg.” Aidan hasn’t told me why all on the left side, so another reason to join us for a session and to ask!

Are you getting any more?

“I definitely plan on getting more work done, all on the left side of my body.”

Have different artists worked on your body?

“Lloyd Vieira is the skilled artist behind all my tattoos.”

What is the meaning behind your tattoos?

“My tattoos don’t have any elaborate meanings – I’ve always just liked the look of tattoos, and I found them aesthetically pleasing”.
