Clare seeks support for her Cableway Charity Challenge “five-loop” bid

Support our friend Clare Rutherford of Here’s My Card Travel in her quest to conquer Table Mountain for a worthy cause! For the third consecutive year, Clare is taking on the Cableway Charity Challenge to raise funds for deserving charities that support vulnerable women and children in Cape Town.

On Saturday, 20 April, Clare will attempt to climb Platteklip Gorge five times in a single day. Each lap, spanning 5.5 kilometres, will see her ascending Table Mountain and running across the plateau before catching a cable car ride down to refuel and start all over again.

“For the third year running I have entered the Cableway Charity Challenge to raise money for a number of worthy causes,” she says. “Each lap will take me approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.”

It’s a hectic physical and mental challenge, but Clare is ready to push herself to the limit for those in need and is asking the CN&CO community for some financial support.

“You can sponsor me per lap or donate a lump sum,” she says. “Any support would be so greatly appreciated.”

By sponsoring Clare, you’ll not only support her incredible athletic feat but also contribute to the work of charities such as  Abalimi BezekhayaFunda Kuyne and Ndihluth.

“Additionally, 10% of all sponsorships will be allocated to Wilderness Search and Rescue and the Volunteer Wildfire Services, two vital organisations composed entirely of volunteers who provide essential rescue and firefighting services in the Western Cape,” adds Clare.

However you choose to sponsor Clare, your generosity will make a meaningful difference in many people’s lives. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made via Visa, InstantEFT, Masterpass, Zapper or SnapScan.

Join Clare in making a difference and help support these worthy causes.

“Make me suffer and help support these very worthy causes,” says Clare.
