Transformation at the African Insurance Exchange

As an example, the IISA and SAIA have launched an initiative to get more black brokers to the 2019 African Insurance Exchange at Sun City in July. Between the two organisations they have agreed to cover the costs of sending three black brokers to the event in order to provide them with all the opportunities that come with attending a conference of this status and magnitude. In addition, the FIA has invited members to support and will use pre-determined, transparent criteria to choose the brokers who will benefit.

The organisations have extended an invitation to the industry to participate in the scheme and help get even more black brokers to attend. Santam has already responded favourably.

The total cost for one delegate to attend for the full three days is R25 000 and there has already been a fair amount of support from the broker community.

One of the big attractions at the annual African Insurance Exchange has always been the golf. Sun City has a couple of world class courses and delegates flock to take advantage of the opportunity to play here. This year is no different! Interest levels have been very high and, by all accounts, we look set for a full field in July.

Further communication will be sent out soon to all golfers who have confirmed their registration.

There will also be additional outdoor activities for non-golfers on the Sunday of the African Insurance Exchange. We are still busy dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s, but will let you know soonest what these activities are. What we promise is that they are fun and offer great opportunities to network.
