Podcasts: navigating the changing world…
The world is entering a new decade. One with much promise, uncertainty, opportunity, and advancements. A large part of it is going to be determined by what we make of it…
So, how can we prepare ourselves for what the future has in store? How can we learn from the past to benefit the future and take better steps to make better decisions?
When I think about questions like these, I frame everything under the notion of continuous learning. I don’t think that we will ever have the answers to everything and so the best way I have found to navigate things is to be open to learning.
Learning isn’t only done in a classroom and some of your biggest lessons will come from experiences that you have which have nothing to do with academic literature. One of my biggest lessons has been to acknowledge when you are outside of your comfort zone. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to verbally share this with others, but it requires you to mentally note that you need to expand your horizons to enable you to navigate the space that you find yourself in.
Continuous learning happens in a number of ways and there is definitely not a rule book for it. By being open, attentive, conscious, and mindful we can learn a lot from the world around us.

Here’s a quote that caught my attention this week.
