TED Talk Tuesday #147: Can’t We All Just Sing Along?

Watching TED Talks is a popular pastime at CN&CO. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. It’s also a way that the CN&CO team play their part on spreading ideas and helping to make the world a better place. This week’s talk is posted by Francois Joubert. Here’s why he chose it:

Music has been an important tool for building community since the start of time, but with the evolving technology freely available today this is forcing us to enjoy music more in a private setting. I found this TED Talk by Brian Manternach where he explained the benefits of singing and how important it is to let our guard down and just all sing along.

On 21 February 2020, CN&CO Events thought it best to host an evening of music where you can be the star! Now is your chance to bring your singing out of the shower and into the open. Take your place in the chorus at the bar that doesn’t throw you out for singing.

For one night only, Higher Ground at St Stithians will be transformed into a New York-style piano bar, allowing patrons to belt out their favourite songs – from Broadway to Biggy – without fear or judgment. Anything goes on this magical, musical evening!
