CN&CO goes off-track at Pablo Clark Racing

A group of CN&CO teammates recently spent a sunny afternoon welding, changing tyres and whizzing around the Le Mans racing circuit. No, we weren’t in France. We were at Pablo Clark Racing in Kyalami, north of Johannesburg, participating in a team building.

The Pit Lane Challenge is one of the corporate team building options on offer at Pablo Clark. It comprises a wheel change, a welding challenge, two driving challenges (one simulating the Le Mans circuit and one that emulates the Kyalami racetrack) and a spark plug changing exercise.

We participated against a few teams from EasyEquities, along with some of their clients and partners. All in all, there were five teams.

“If you have even one competitive bone in your body, you’ll love the Pit Lane Challenge,” says CN&CO’s Colin Ford. “It’s adrenaline-charged from the first minute, with teams vying for the top spot in a series of motor racing-related tasks. It was super fun and a great way to bond with my CN&CO and EasyEquities friends. Plus, the never-ending pizza was delicious!”

Says our Kate Conlan: “Our day at Pablo Clark Racing was one for the books – such an awesome experience! From the pit crew tyre changing, to race simulations and welding, the team at PCR definitely knows how to get you out of your comfort zone!”

And from Kurt Solomon (who, by the way, logged the fastest time on the F1 simulator for the day): “Absolutely phenomenal experience, a massive thanks to the PCR team, incredible, friendly and professional service the moment you arrive. Oh, and the pizzas are an absolute winner too.”

Another CN&CO teammate, Stella Carter, says: “What a truly exciting, fun, adrenaline filled experience. We go to do stuff I would never have ordinarily done and got to experience the behind-the-scenes world of motor racing…

“I absolutely LOVED every moment. From changing a tyre with a bolt hammer, to welding, to the simulation driving, it was absolutely incredible! I am already reaching out to clients to host team builds and client events at Pablo Clark Racing – everyone should experience this at least once in their lives.

“P.S. The team at PCR were amazing and knowledgeable and made us feel so welcomed. And the pizzas….. YUM!”

CN&CO has a long and friendly relationship with Pablo Clark Racing that stretches back at least 20 years.

“We have become great friends over the years and highly recommend their pit lane, driving and racing experiences,” says CN&CO’s Carel Nolte.
