Where were you at noon on 28 September 2023?

The CN&CO team really are all over the place – geographically speaking, that is! It’s part of our lifestyle business approach: being able to work wherever we are and finding a balance that helps us and our partners to succeed in all areas of life. Here’s where we were at noon on 28 September 2023.

This month’s day was picked by Colin. Here’s what he and the other CN&CO family were doing at noon.

Llewellyn

The events team and I are setting up a special cocktail event for our client, the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) at the Pablo Clark Racing workshop in Kyalami. Event season is in full swing, and we are thrilled to have live events back on our calendars! It’s also great to see insurance industry connections between CN&CO, Pablo Clark and the IIG coming together, and we look forward to a fabulous event later today.

(The venue looks so stunning we thought we’d include a bunch of photos.)

Colin

At noon today I was working on a few articles about volume capital companies for our new client, Amicorp. We recently wrote about the company’s new ESG reporting and rating service and got some great global coverage! Here are some of the outlets that published the story:

My photo (below) is of me and my friend Sonja in Plovdiv, Bulgaria – a fabulous city I visited last week. It really is an amazing place that blends the very old with the very new. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area!  🇧🇬

Harry has swimming lessons at noon on a Thursday. My pic (above) shows him all kitted out and about to take the plunge.

Stella

Today at noon I was at epic ERP in a workshop outcomes planning session, to map out the next steps post their internal company workshop. I love getting involved in our clients’ businesses, and being a part of their way forward ❤️

Carel

At Stellenzicht with my godson Yuan, buying him lunch to say congrats on being a finalist in the Hubert van der Spuy music competition for young classical musicians, representing Laerskool Jan Celliers. Celebrating with us are Susan van der Wat, wife of my optometrist of 44 years and music teacher extraordinaire. (At one time, Susan worked with Janet Fox van der Poel, who now works with me in CN&CO Recruit). You’ll also recognise Yuan’s dad Christo Crafford (an insurance co-veteran) and CN&CO’s Rikus Kok in the photo above.

Kurt

At noon I was online in our Ami virtual office, checking in with the team after a productive morning with brokers. This afternoon I will be heading to the IIG sponsors’ “thank you” event at Pablo Clark Racing, which is being organised by CN&CO Events. Looking forward to seeing some brokers and familiar faces there! (I love how everything and everyone are connected in the insurance industry!)

Gianluca

I am watching the Ryder Cup 2023 live at the Marco Simone in Rome. Currently in the Garden Hospitality with DP World ⛳️ Go Europe!! 🇪🇺

Blake

Blake is away on a bucket-list adventure hiking the Rim of Africa, which runs some 760km from the Cederberg in the north to the Outeniqua foothills in the east, forming the south-western rim of the African continent. We look forward to hearing about Blake’s adventures when he gets back!

Colin is our resident wordsmith. He can write absolutely anything and loves to read, too. He even has his own book club.
